Ctenochaetus strigosus - Also called the yellow-eye tang. The Kole tang has an oval body shape with bold markings that change with maturity. As a juvenile, it has a yellow-gold to tan color combined with striping and spots. When matured, the body color darkens, ranging from blue to burgundy. Depending on what part of the world it is from, it can have either a majority of spots or stripes highlighting the body. It is an excellent addition to a reef or fish only tank. It's maximum size is about 6", which makes it one of the smaller tangs. They might be aggressive towards other tangs, but not especially so, and not towards any other fish or inverts. They should be fed a variety of plant (nori) and protein foods.
