Red Sea Purple Tang | Zebrasoma xanthurus (2-3")

Never owned a purple tang before and this one arrived healthy. Picking at rocks and sandbed for algae

Was blown away by the condition and overall size. Definitely much larger than 2" and in great condition. Will be ordering more fish in the future!

If I had to restart my tank, I would go back and buy every fish from NY aquatics. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. I bought a purple tang around noon and NY aquatics shipped it out the same day! When the fish arrived, it seemed un-stressed in the bag with only slight damage to the dorsal fin likely from the overnight trip. I acclimated the tang per NY aquatics instructions and added the fish to my tank with no issues. I’ve had the tang for about a week now and it is an amazing specimen- the flesh is pristine with beautiful coloration and markings. I’ve found that a lot of purple tangs from the LFS often have scar tissue or imperfections, but this one is just about flawless (and any dorsal fin damage is already back to normal in less than a week). This fish eats ANYTHING I put in the tank, plus it picks at any algae it can find on my rocks all day long. I could not be happier. And the best thing of all? How can you beat the price?? I paid less than half of what a purple tang would have cost me locally for this great fish. Thank you NY aquatics!

So it was the first time that we have ordered a fish online. Let me tell you it was the best experience we have had. It was so good the day after we received this fish we ordered another one and that one was awesome as well. Can’t say enough how easy it was and the fish was here the next day happy and healthy and ate within hours. Ordering my grouper this week. Thanks again Mike!!

Purple Tangs came in perfect and ate right away. Unfortunately right after they came we had a giant ice storm. Been running the tank on a generator for two weeks. Tangs are stressed but still hanging on.

At 1st I was little worried about ordering a fish on line and haven't shipped. I place my order on Thursday and my fish showed up health and bigger than I was expecting. Thank you so much and can't wait to do more business!!!

Awesome little fish!!! Was delayed a day, I expected the poor little thing to be DOA but it arrived in perfect condition! Wasn't stressed at all and was happily swimming in it's bag when I opened the box. Thanks for great care and packing!!!

When he arrived he was so small but so cute! He’s still in quarantine but eating very well the entire time, ans not shy at all

The Purple Tang I bought is looking and doing well. The only concern I’ve had is the shipping - it was a day and a half late and took some time for the fish to adjust and eat. Otherwise, everything went smoothly and will most likely purchase from this site again.
