NYAquatic has relationships with suppliers and divers all over the world. We currently have partners in over 12 countries and are continuing to expand our network of suppliers. This allows us to bring in fish directly which not only means we have a large selection of fish but they are coming direct. This decreases the stress on the fish and reduces the amount of hands they need to go through. Ultimately allowing you to receive the highest quality specimen that will thrive.

To ensure our customers only receive top quality fish, we take our acclimation and conditioning measures seriously. We have an on staff vet that helps with all our fish treatments. Every shipment we receive gets screened and tested for all known pathogens microscopically. They are then treated appropriately under the direction of our vet. From antibiotics injections to copper we make sure every fish gets what they need. Typically upon arrival the fish go through an extensive acclimation process that takes ~24-48hrs. They are treated and inspected before being added into our systems. We keep copper 1.8ppm in most of our systems and all our systems have high output UV sterilizers.

At NYAquatic we guarantee all our fish are eating and healthy before being shipped. You don’t have to take our word, join us for our livesales and watch us feed live. If you can’t make it, don’t worry, you can message us and we can send a feeding video of whatever fish you may be interested in! We stand behind all our fish and want you to shop confidently. As hobbyists ourselves we understand the uncertainty when buying fish online and we will do anything and everything to make your shopping experience the best it can be!

Once you pull the trigger on your purchase, we aim to ship your order out within 1-3 business days. You will receive tracking via your email so you can track your fishies as they make their way to your doorstep. We ship Monday-Friday for delivery Tuesday-Thursday. When checking out it will ask you to request a shipping date along with a backup shipping date incase we aren’t able to get it out on the day you requested. We try to process all orders asap but especially during holiday season or after sales, our processing time may be longer. Additionally if there is an issue with the livestock you ordered, there may be delays but we will always be in touch with any issues. We will hold fish for up to 2 weeks with the understanding that they are live animals so things can happen. We will not sell the fish and when the shipping date approaches we will confirm everything is in stock or if substitutions need to be made.

We carefully examine the fish for a final time before being packed. We add plenty of oxygen and triple bag to prevent leaking. We have a special staple machine that tightly seals the bag perfectly every time. Then depending on the temperature we add ice packs or 72 hour heat packs in case of any delays. They are packaged carefully and sent in their way! All that’s left if for you to receive your fishies!
